BluEnt underlines a few incredible millwork cabinetry style trends in the kitchen this year

Toronto, ON – October 23rd, 2017BluEnt, a leading Building Information Modeling services provider, has always assured that their clientele worldwide are aware of the most trendy designs and functionality accessible to them when it comes to millwork in both commercial and residential sectors. This year BluEnt has come up with a few millwork cabinetry style trends in kitchen that their clients can incorporate when doing a kitchen remodel.

According to Sajeel Khanna, SVP at BluEnt, “Cabinetry is a component that makes the kitchen space look complete. We haven’t really experienced many drastic or revolutionary changes over the years when it comes to kitchen cabinets. However, in the last 3-4 years we have witnessed a few developments.”

One characteristic trend that stands out in millwork is the focus on minimalism and simplicity. Simple and clean cabinets are still perceived to be trendy however some unique bold styles are also in play.

Here are a few millwork cabinetry style trends that can inspire clients in their upcoming build or renovation projects.

Wood substitutes gaining popularity:
It is true that wood substitutes do not have the natural or real wood appeal however it comes with many valuable benefits. These benefits fit with today’s consumers’ needs and lifestyle. Peoples’ lives are becoming more and more hectic and their requirement for low maintenance products that doesn’t need that extra care is acquiring significance.

Solid and painted over stained:
Solid and painted cabinets have started to make a bolder statement and is becoming quite appealing to the masses. Neutral colors, such as tones like grey, cream beige and soft greens are the ones that fit well and are loved for their simplicity. The most popular colours in the kitchen space are white, soft greys, brown greys and the alabaster finish white. They are perceived to have a longer shelf life than other colors. Doors have newer style options:
It’s always good to have more space around the kitchen. This is one of the top reasons for the new door styles such as ‘sliding door’ options to be favoured over the traditional ones. Especially, when homeowners have smaller kitchen space, with sliding doors, the door clearance space is free. It even fits well in larger kitchens, as then there are only few doors that not only look good but also has smoother functionality. Flip doors, another trend seen this year, though doesn’t have such valuable benefits as sliding doors, are perceived to be fancier and unique.

Accessorizing the cabinets:
Lighting is always a must have in the kitchen. In the category of 'lightings', the Under-cabinet LED lighting has gained more prominence as residents have started to find them quite efficient. LED lighting gives good lighting for activities, which is an absolute necessity. It also comes in a variety of colors and not to forget that the bulbs last for a much longer time.

Technology finds a way here as well:
Though hi-tech kitchen is still in its nascent stage, people are starting to interact with it. This is true when we see the fresh and modern kitchen designs that are able to meet our consumer's gadget needs. Usage of mobiles is not considered to be safe when using the stove or microwave however we do have cabinets with charging stations that can be used when involved in other kitchen activities. There are other hi-tech cabinets that can incorporate wireless music speakers or docking stations.

BluEnt has been able to integrate these trends in their residential kitchen modeling projects this year. The BluEnt professionals have taken their client’s preferences, in terms of cabinetry and counter tops, into consideration. They have ensured that all elements in the kitchen space are trendy, well equipped and well coordinated.
